Whispers Beneath The Canopy

Whispers Beneath the Canopy: The Hidden World of the Terralings

You might not see them at first.

Not unless they want you to

But if you listen closely, if you let the hush of the forest settle into your bones, you might just feel them watching.

They live in the unseen spaces, between shadow and sunlight, in the hollows of ancient trees and the rustling undergrowth.

Some say they are just a myth.

But myths don’t leave footprints in the moss.

Myths don’t tug on the corner of your vision when you swear you were alone.

For centuries, these small, nimble beings have lived in perfect harmony with the wild. Their ears, wide and attuned to every whisper of the wind, catch the faintest sounds, warning them long before a threat approaches.

They ride on the backs of bats beneath moonlit skies, glide through dense forests unseen, and gather by fireflies’ glow when the world above sleeps.

Yet humans have forgotten how to see them. They walk too fast.Talk too loud.Rush forward, never still. To a Terraling, humans are a blur. A presence without form, without focus, here one moment, gone the next.

But every so often, there is a child.

A child who slows down.

A child who listens.

And to that child, the world begins to shift.

The wind moves differently. The leaves murmur secrets. The earth hums beneath their feet. That child, if they are patient, if they are open, may catch a glimpse of a flickering shadow, a trail of tiny footprints leading deeper into the trees.

And that child may be the first to see the Terralings in a very, very long time.
